I sent Vince off to do some crafting for me in Star Wars: The Old Republic and I’m really hoping he comes back with some stuff that will allow me to toughen up my shield generators.

We’ve been talking about J.J. Abrams follow-up to Star Trek 2009 quite a lot on this show and I just want to let you know that Paramount had finally spoken up on the topic. In a press release they state all the stuff that we’ve been telling you about for a long time now. Now that we have this document in hand, we can officially say that Star Trek 2 is officially official. The release date is May 13, 2003 so make sure you clear your schedule. Here’s the cast from the press release.

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions present a Bad Robot Production of a J.J. Abrams Film. Returning to their posts on the Enterprise are John Cho, Bruce Greenwood,Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, and Anton Yelchin. They are joined by new cast members Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller.

Gini Koch is the author of the Touched by an Alien/”Kitty” Katt series of books about a woman who falls into the knowledge of aliens on Earth quite by accident and learns that they are very different from the tales we’ve been told. I should probably tell you that this will be my second attempt to call her. The first try resulted in a new form of digital to analog to digital conversion feedback that will be the subject of a patent I will be filing later in the week.
