John
About Me:
John Hazard is a Cartoonist and Flash Animator from New York City. His day job is character designer for kids’ network Nickelodeon’s online chat environment. By night he draws a weekly newspaper strip and other comics.
He has two teenage kids who are too grown up to share his interests in Trek toys and monster movies. He and his girlfriend (a writer of some type of “fiction” that is not “science-”??) and her 2 boys live on the upper West side of Manhattan.
Why podcast? “Because Comic Book Guy is not cynical enough! Geekdom is all too willing to swallow trash and nonsense and call it awesome if it blows up real good. A truly critical voice is needed, to point out the scientific absurdities and dramatic cheats, and I have been cursed with it.
Also, I really need to interact with Hu-mons more. But not in person!”
He holds a B.A. in Film & Video from Pratt Institute, which basically qualifies him to think his opinions on TV shows and movies are somehow more relevant than your’s.
