Casey,
Can you guys show Sarah Connor some love? Doesn’t seem like anyone else but me likes it, lol. Sarah is the toughest female action/leadership character out right now, imho. I also enjoy the crazy time paradoxes. I’d like to see that angle explored more in the show.
Not too excited about the new Trek. The bridge shots look like a bunch of hipsters hanging out at the Apple store. I’m surprised Spock doesn’t have an ironic mullet or something.

I enjoy SARAH CONNOR. It’s good TV fun.
I am excited about the new Trek, but I’d have to agree that I’m not that thrilled with the look of the bridge. Blech.
Totally diggin’ the new format. Short & sweet works WAY better!

I’m in two minds about the photos, the uniforms look good, Spook looks spot on but while the new bridge shot looks cool, it doesn’t look like a Star Trek bridge.
I’m not sure if I’m looking forward to the film because its more Star Trek or because I want to see how well or not they have done it.
Sarah Conner starts here in the UK this week. I liked the first season alot but it was a little slow at points.

^^
Season 2 of SARAH, so far, is a bit of the same, but there are a few neat developments. Hang with it.

Hello all,
Just looking at the Nero pIc above and the “Hand helds” with the red light at the end to the right of the Bones on the table.
Are they bar code scan like the ones in shops?
Does this mean that in the early days the federation was had up? Do you have to scan your purchase of a photon torpedo?

Hi, my name is Rupert. I am working on a new Sci-fi project called Kirill, in conjunction with Microsoft MSN and Digital Studios (a little digital studio part of Endemol UK). We would really like your opinion and feedback on the project so far.
Why you? Because I have trawled the internet looking for people who we would want to be ‘the audience’ of Kirill, and we think you may well be one of those people
Here is the link to the video introducing the whole concept and explaining a little more: http://www.kirilluncovered.com/?p=16
Please email me back and I’ll send you more info.
Kind Regards,
Rupert

I am curious to see how the new Trek comes out. I am wondering if Abrams is going for some comic relief by hiring both Simon Pegg and Henry Cho for main crew roles.
I was looking at the Apple Store shot, I mean the shot of the Bridge and although a great many of the new cast look nothing like originals, there are some great similarities. As you have already commented on, Spock is dead on. I also think they got Karl Urban to look quite a bit like Deforest Kelly but it will still remain to be seen if he adopts the mannerisms and speech patterns of the original. Along that line, in the Apple..Bridge shot, it looks like Kirk is emoting as always. Look at the First of Determination. Classic.
Hope all is well aboard Surplus One. I have greatly missed the feed over the last couple weeks.

Hope you are well.
We tried to get into contact with you the other day but I?m not sure if you received it. It mentions a new Sci-Fi drama called Kirill and I was hoping you would like to be involved.
Would you be interested in mentioning something on your blog or even hosting the short episodes? We really just want to get it in front of the right audience and see what they think and gauge their opinion.
I have the teaser trailer, episode 1 & 2, info on the story & characters and behind the scenes content.
All the embed codes are on the Kirill hub below, so the video?s are easy for you to upload.

I would really like your blog to be involved, so please let me know what you think?

Rupert, the feed’s mostly dead these days. The host had to get a job, and he’s never been heard from since.

Looks like another one fades away. You knew it was going to be bad when the intro went from the female voice to the 80’s nerd voice, lol.

Hey guys,
I just wanted to drop a line and say how much I’m missing the podcast. I know that when I take a break from producing mine, it always takes a kick to get me up and running again so I hope someone kicks you into gear soon.

My theory:
Scifi Surplus was infiltrated by cylon agents. After a couple of weeks of mucking around, gathering intel, slowly killing off the crew, they have now taken control and plan to invade earth.
Scifi Surplus was only the first casualty.
The end is near.

Seventy-nine episodes.
From wiki, Seventy-nine is also:
The number of Star Trek: The Original Series episodes, not counting the first pilot, “The Cage”, which was enclosed into “The Menagerie”.
The number of recommendations in the Iraq Study Group Report.
Elvis Presley holds the Billboard record with 79 cumulative weeks at #1
Submitted to fill the void, not to encourge conspiricy freaks.

??? NOt even the webmaster has the courtesy to post an update, so methinks you can stick a fork in this podcast. Maybe Casey will prove me wrong.
