Anti-witness News
There are two big pieces of news coming out of the Harry Potter universe. First, a trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been released online. In the trailer we see Harry go into the Pensive and witness the first meeting between Albus Dumbledore and a young Tom Riddle. Also in Harry Potter News, the Tales of Beedle the Bard are headed to a bookstore near you with a December release date.

The Dark Knight is keeping up it’s record breaking blitz at the box office taking in another Forty-Three Point Eight Million dollars over the weekend fending off The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor which took in Forty-Two Point Five Million. At this pace The Dark Knight is expected to surpass $400 Million by the end of the week.
The founders of New Line Cinema, Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne are signed on to produce Isaac Asimov’s Foundation. The Foundation Trilogy will be the first project of their new company Unique Pictures. Shaye noted that “This is not a script you can knock out in six months.” No details have been given about a release date, and there are currently no actors or director attached to the project.
Both sides in the Star Wars verses a British costume maker are claiming victory in the courtroom saga. Lucasfilm sued Andrew Ainsworth in an attempt to stop him from selling stormtrooper armor to fans of the franchise. The British High Court ruled that Ainsworth was in copyright violation by selling Imperial gear to customers in the United States, but did not require a payment of 20 million dollars for the infringement. Ainsworth now claims he is free to sell the uniforms anywhere but in the U.S.
Council of Great Relevance: Doctor Who
Doctor Who is one of the longest running science fiction television programs. Series 4 of the re-imagined Doctor Who has just finished here in the States, having finished broadcasting across the UK a few weeks ago. After being brought back from a long hiatus in 2005, Doctor Who has picked up a HUGE following across both sides of the pond, and a new generation of Who fans have made the Doctor more popular than ever, so much so that Doctor Who beat out Star Trek to win the SciFi 16 Tournament earlier this year.
Vince gives listeners that are unfamiliar with Doctor Who a quick synopsis of the franchise.
The series was brought back in 2005 after a long hiatus, what is the difference between classic “Who” and the new “Who”
The gadgets of The Doctor and the technology on the show is always part of the goofy fun that is Who. Tell me though, is there anything a sonic screwdriver can’t do?
Throughout the history of the Doctor he’s had a bevy of beauties beside him that he calls companions. Who are some of the more memorable ones?
We are now on the 10th iteration of The Doctor. I’m going to pass this around the group and we’ll start with John. Who is your favorite doctor?
