Dave Gibbons Interview
The upcoming “Watchmen” director, Zack Snyder, will be releasing multiple versions of the film after it runs in theaters. The reason is because there is a pirate-themed comic within the original comic called “Tales of the Black Freighter.” A film version of the “Black Freighter” will be produced and go straight to DVD 4 days after Watchmen is in theaters. About 4 months after the feature DVD release, an ultimate edition will be released that will intertwine both films into a mega-movie.
Casey Calls for Open Auditions
I’d like to announce open auditions for voice work on our show. We need actors for drama skits and commercials. One important thing to point out is that this will require you to have a good microphone and some basic audio or podcasting experience. We are very much in need of female voices but we also need a few men. If you would like to be part of our show, send a 30 second mp3 audio sample to feedback@scifisurplus.com.

Patrick Fugit was the star of the critically acclaimed “Almost Famous” and the new to DVD movie “Wristcutters: a Love Story”, which I recommend to lovers of quirky movies about weird/funny afterlifes.
He would make a fine Spiderman, better than the Sky High kid, speaking of which…
THERE WAS A GIANT ROBOT IN SKY HIGH!!!
I wouldn’t have remembered this, but my daughter re-watched it this weekend and there’s one right at the beginning. So there.
However, that, and the mad scientists do not make it sci fi. Superheroes are fantasy.
