Snore! To be honest you guys spent way too much time on Boston Legal. Sorry guys! The rest was great though! Lost is so Sci-Fi! All the crazy Anomalies! Sci-Fi is all about anomalies. Casey, Lost has gotten so cool! It did get slow for a little while but now it’s so much better!!! LOST is awesome!!! I love M. Night Shalalalalala… movies are really cool too! I loved Lady in the Water and Signs. And yes Alfred Hitchcock is a MOVIE GENIOUS.

Dang–I’ve been enjoying y’all’s podcast for about 2 months now, and was thinking about emailing the 8 other folks in my SF book group about it…until I listened to this week’s episode.

Man, y’all should NEVER start just ad-libbing about stuff, esp. about non-SF topics like Boston Legal (really–who cares if some of the actors were in Star Trek???)

Starbucks stories–who cares? Lost not SF? What planet are you on–time travel doesn’t count as SF now? Over 2/3 of the cost of a shuttle launch is paychecks to NASA employees just twiddling their thumbs?! What BS!

Y’all GOTTA get guests on the show–those are always informative and entertaining. And while some of the stuff y’all banter back and forth is funny, really, I mean REALLY–this navel-gazing crap should be nipped in the bud RIGHT NOW!

I’m not even going to dignify the whole “I’m creaming my pants over AUDIBLE.COM” bit. If you’re going to be a tool, don’t go on and on about it. Ditto sexist crap about revealing/tight outfits.

Sorry to be so harsh, but you folks have been a fun way to spend a half hour, getting me caught up in non-written SF stuff, that I was really blind-sided by how crappy you’ve become. I’ve really, REALLY liked your podcasts up until this week’s–really, I should have emailed sooner about how much I liked your podcast.

Please reconsider, or at least go to once every other week if you have to. One more epi like this last one, and my “hey folks, check out scifisurplus.com” turns into “jeez, whatever happened to SciFi Surplus?! WFT was THAT all about”

Thanks for all the work you put into this show,

    Scott M.

Why was Smallville renewed? That show needs to be taken out back and shot.
Smallville is like a bad habit for me. I’ve quit once before somewhere around season 4, but got drawn in again because of Tom Welling’s Tall Dark Goodlookingness. Someone tell me, is there rehab for bad tv that we just can’t quit?

  4. DarthByron Says:

Hey you guys aren’t crappy! That was too harsh. Other than the Boston Legal thing it was great. And I’m certain the Audible.com thing was necessary. Don’t worry guys, you still do a great job!

  5. Rob Says:

I really enjoyed this episode. I liked the ad-libbing you guys sounded natural and “real”. Normally you guys have great stories, but I can tell you are reading, and it always sounds wooden. You did get a little carried away on the Boston Legal and Coffee talk, but it was still over all enjoyable.

    Thanks for the great episodes.
