Ex-Prez Neither Confirms Nor Denies Alien Attack

Jimmy Carter wants you to know that, despite the claims of Dennis Kucinich in last week’s debate, he did not see a UFO in 1969. He saw an Unidentified Flying Object. Not to be mistaken for a possible alien spacecraft. It just happened to be a mysterious light hovering in the sky. Nothing to see here.

Japan Has Gundam Conundrum

The program for a Japanese Defense Symposium was posted online late last month and the title of one of the exhibits caused quite a stir:

“Towards the Realization of Gundam (Advanced Personal Equipment System).”

No other information about the exhibit was provided.

Much to the dismay of giant robot fans everywhere. Today it was revealed that the Gundam equipment is currently a development program to combine existing technologies, specifically body armor, a computer, and health monitoring equipment.

Studios begin exercising WGA backup plans.

Heroes appears to be the first victim of the WGA strike. TV Guide is reporting that the cast and crew have been recalled to begin filming an alternate season finale that will air on December 3rd.

New Joss Whedon Series “Dollhouse” to star Eliza Dushku

In what is starting to look like an internet firestorm, news of Eliza Dushku’s new pairing with Joss Whedon for his upcoming “Dollhouse” project is sweeping the nets. E Online’s “Watch With Kristin” blog broke the news yesterday that Eliza Dushku will be in the starring role and a producer of the show; Tim Minear will be involved; and that Fox has committed to seven episodes so far. Some of the writers for “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” are even migrating over.
