First off… Great show guys. I am already a loyal downloader.
But I must protest that “Aliens” didn’t make your best sequels list. Possibly you didn’t think it was an improvement over the first given that the first was very good. It’s a tough call but I think “Aliens” introduced some great stuff. The gritty realistic Space Marines, the Alien queen, and some fine hardware…
Anyway I would of included this on the list instead of Terminator 2 which, while good, I don’t believe was that much better than the first.
My 2 cents.
Thanks for this podcast. It’s alright… I don’t even mind when you say “ass”.

I’m going to have to agree with J. When I think of the effect that Aliens had on scifi in general, it seems greater than Terminator 2. I hear “Game over, man!” as much as I hear “I’ll be back!”
Aliens also had that cool preview that revealed *nothing* about the film. (I wish all previews for sequels were like that. Mystery is good!)
Don’t get me wrong, though. I still like Terminator 2. But yeah, Aliens should’ve gotten the nod there.

I agree that Star Trek II is one of the greatest sequals of all time! I love that movie! I do like the others as well but that one is by far the best!
One thing about the Ender’s Game movie. Orson Scott Card said recently that he was going to have a very strict part in the making of the film so I highly doubt that it will ruin the book. In fact I hear that they are combining Ender’s Game and Ender’s Shadow so that we can have the two views so they don’t have to have the characters talking to themselves about what they are thinking. I think that will help.
