The SCI FI Channel has announced that they are developing a new animated series called The Awesomes about a team of superheroes trying to get back in the limelight over cooler, newer teams. Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyers, Michael Shoemaker and Lorne Michaels are slated to executive-produce the show, which has been described by SCI FI Channel as “The Office meets Superfriends”.

Shia LaBeouf has reportedly signed on to continue playing Indiana Jones in 3, maybe 4, more movies after Indiana Jones 4 is released next May.

The trailer for the first film in the Rebuild of Evangelion series was recently released in Japan. The first three movies will follow the storyline of the original T.V. series, with some new scenes and characters. The fourth film is intended to be a new conclusion to the story. The whole series is intended to be easier to understand for non-fans. The first film is expected to open in Japanese theaters on 11/01/07.

According to David Duchovny, the X-Files 2 script is ready:

“Chris has written it with Frank Spotnitz, and Chris will direct it,” Duchovny said. “And [co-star Gillian Anderson is] on board, and I’m on board, and that’s all I can tell you. I mean, I’m looking forward to seeing what he did.”
